DAY 01: ARRIVE DELHI:
On arrival at Delhi meeting and assistance by our representative at the airport followed by transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day free for own activities. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Delhi is the capital of India and a city of historical importance, from which the Mughal emperors ruled India.
DAY 02: DELHI:
Breakfast at Hotel. Morning proceed for city tour of Old and New Delhi with guide visiting Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, Birla Mandir, Lotus temple, India Gate, President’s house and Parliament. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 03: DELHI – MANDAWA( 280 KMS/6-7 HRS)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Mandawa - part of the Shekhawati, a region once on the silk route to China, whose inhabitants, rich merchants, lavishly decorated their houses with paintings on religious, historical, folk and social themes. On arrival at Mandawa check in at Hotel. Rest of the day free. Afternoon proceed for city tour of Mandawa visiting Havelis, Mukundgarh, and the Jhunjhunwala Haveli with stories of Krishna and Sukhdev. Afternoon visit various old painted mansions.
DAY 04: MANDAWA- BIKANER (180 KMS / 4-5 HRS )
Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bikaner. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon proceed for city tour visiting Junagarh fort and the camel breeding farm. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 05 : BIKANER-JAISALMER (330 KMS / 6-7 HRS)
After breakfast drive to Jaisalmer in the Great Indian Thar Desert. On arrival at Jaisalmer check in at hotel.
DAY 06 : JAISALMER
Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for half day city tour visiting Jaisalmer fort, Gadi Sagar Lake and Patwon ki Haveli. Afternoon excursion to Sam sand dunes for camel ride. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 07 : JAISALMER-JODHPUR ( 290 KMS / 5-6 HRS)
Breakfast at Hotel. After Breakfast drive to Jodhpur, on the edge of the Thar Desert. The city is known for its striking fort, stately palaces and gracious buildings. On arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 08: JODHPUR
Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for the city tour of Jodhpur, visiting
Mehrangarh Fort & Jaswant Thada museum. Afternoon excursion to Mandore Gardens. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 09: JODHPUR- RANAKPUR- UDAIPUR (260 KMS / 5-6 HRS )
Breakfast at Hotel. After Breakfast drive to Udaipur, en route visit Ranakpur in Aravalli hills - famous for 500 yr old Jain temples with intricate carvings. The central temple, called the Chaumukha, has 29 marble halls supported by 1444 pillars. On arrival at Udaipur check in at hotel for overnight stay. Udaipur is known as the city of Lakes.
DAY 10: UDAIPUR
Breakfast at Hotel and proceed for half day guided city tour visiting the City Palace complex with its ornately decorated palaces, the Jagdish temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari - a small ornamental pleasure garden, 'Garden of Maids of Honour' containing an elegant lotus pool, gushing fountains, beautiful black marble kiosks on the corners of the pool and stunning bougainvilleas covering the wall of the enclosures. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 11: UDAIPUR- PUSHKAR:( 275 KMS/ 5-7 HRS)
Breakfast at Hotel and drive to Pushkar. Arrive and check in at Hotel. Pushkar is an ancient town which has witnessed the making of history since the period of the epic Ramayana. Accounts of this city can be found in the 4th century writings of the Chinese traveller Fa-Hien and also in the scripts written during the era of Muslim invasions. The city is considered by Hindus to be one of the most sacred places in India and has, perhaps, the only existing temple dedicated to Lord Brahma, the Creator of the Hindu trinity. Later visit Pushkar Lake - mythology says that this ancient lake was formed when a lotus flower fell into the valley from the hands of Brahma. Pushkar has as many as 400 temples and 52 bathing ghats surrounding the lake. The waters of these ghats are said to have special curative powers, eg Naga Kund for fertility, Roop Tirth for beauty and Kapil Vyapi Kund for curing leprosy. DAY 12 : PUSHKAR-JAIPUR ( 180 KMS / 5 HRS)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning free for walking in Pushkar Town. Afternoon drive to Jaipur. Jaipur is the Gateway to Rajasthan. Also know as the Pink City, as all buildings have a pink tint to them. It is an unselfconsciously medieval city, with stately palaces, colourful bazaars (market) and a fort brooding over the city. Graceful women in swirling skirts and veils of red, yellow, orange and magenta, laden with silver jewellery, straight tall men in turbans and lurching carts drawn by camels, do nothing to dispel the illusion. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 13: JAIPUR:
After breakfast, excursion to Amber Fort with an elephant ride up the ramparts, followed by a half day guided tour of the pink city. The colour coat of the pink city was given a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old.
Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory and drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 14: JAIPUR- FATEHPUR SIKRI-AGRA (232 KMS / 5-6 HRS)
Breakfast at Hotel. After Breakfast drive to Agra en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri. On arrival at Agra check in at Hotel. Overnight Hotel.
DAY 15 : AGRA-DELHI
Breakfast at hotel and proceed for half day city tour with guide visiting Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The Taj Mahal, the eternal symbol of India and Agra, was built in white marble by Mugal Emperor Shahjahan for his Empress Mumtaz Mahal. 20,000 workmen worked for 22 years to complete it. Afternoon drive back to Delhi . Enjoy farewell Dinner at local restaurant and drop off at international airport to connect flight back home on DAY 16 morning.
