Kolkata Heritage Walk
Though we started with just walks initially, we've moved on to doing City Tours, River Cruise, Special Dining Experiences, Homestays etc. As we get newer and newer queries we keep building our products. We always tell one thing to our guests, throw us a challenge in and around Calcutta and we shall throw you an interesting

itinerary that you can't refuse.
Always looking forward to creating newer and more research/knowledge based tours in and around the city, Calwalks seems to be poised for the big leap.
We are a one-of-a-kind tour operator hell-bent on changing the tourism scenario of Calcutta. And we will not do so by offering you cheaper prices for our services but rather by upgrading our services to world-class standards and compelling you to pay for it.
Among our plans for the city we are launching Free Walks for All Kolkatans all through the month of October.
In November, with the help of the Apeejay Group we intend to launch the Park Street Walk as part of the Park Street Rejuvenation Program. Without further ado let me show you what a typical itinerary with us would look like:
Day 1
6 am
Dalhousie Square Walk, a perfect introduction to Colonial Calcutta. A nice easy-paced walk through the European quarters of the erstwhile British India capital serves as a welcome change from the hustle and bustle that a visitor has to jostle with in the rest of the city.
Followed by breakfast. If the hotel has arrangement, best, or else we could always give breakfast at interesting locations which are intrinsic to the city. Like Floatel, the floating hotel, Flurys, an iconic heritage tea bar on Park Street, Palladian Lounge, another heritage site which is not accessible to the general public, etc. Or if the guest is enterprising enough then we make them sample some safe Street Food.
11 am
Followed by a city tour titled European Calcutta which would incorporate all the locations and sites built or inhabited by the Europeans. Can end this with tea at the Tollygunge Club, a historic club, ranked among the top 20 clubs in the world (One can also stay here....its beautiful.). Will include continental lunch at a prominent

restaurant. 6 pm
Back to the hotel latest for dinner and some rest.
Day 2
7 am
The Sovabazar - Kumartuli Walk, a walk through the old black town, or the natives' localities in the time of the British. Indulgence in tea with the locals for a while during the walk. 11 am Bengal Renaissance City Tour, a tour that brings to the fore all the important Bengali luminaries that were responsible for bringing Calcutta to be called the Cultural Capital of India. This tour will include lunch at a prominent restaurant with authentic Bengali cuisine. 8 pm
Dinner with a Bengali family - to
understand better the way the people of the city, especially the Bengalis, live.
Day 3
6 am Confluence of Cultures Walk, a walk through the various non-Bengali communities that call Calcutta home. Followed by breakfast. 3 pm
Cruise on the Hooghly. This cruise can go 2 ways depending on what interests the guests. On one there is the historic gardens with the famous Banyan tree and on the other there are the pilgrimage spots of Belur Math and Dakshineswar (highly recommended to understand the local Bengali flavour of religions).
8 pm
Dinner with a migrant community member's house, one of the communities that they had encountered during the walk in the morning. And that should give a visitor a totally in depth view of what exactly the city is made of. By the end of the following the visitor will probably know more about the city than the city residents.
This will include many more things as we come across newer and nicer things to do in our city. We're constantly researching and keep coming up with more and more fun things. Also, We've not factored in the day trips to places like, Serampore for the Danes, Chandernagore for the French, Hooghly for the Portuguese, Chinsurah for the Dutch, and so on and so forth. Or else we combine all of the above and do a full day River Cruise or Road trip. Some of which are listed here.
