Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi international airport, our company representative will meet & assist you with traditional welcome and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Rest of the day free & easy for own activities. Overnight at Delhi hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi – Varanasi (By Flight)

After breakfast, transfer to Delhi airport to board the flight to Varanasi; situated on the west bank of holy river Ganges. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and later in the afternoon, proceed for an excursion to Sarnath; where, after enlightenment, Lord Buddha gave his first sermon about the basic principles of Buddhism - Four Noble Truths, Eightfold Path & the Middle Way.

Day 03 : Varanasi – Bodhgaya (245 kms. / 06 hours drive)

Early in the morning proceed for a board ride on the holy river Ganges. Later return back to the hotel and have your breakfast. Later drive to Bodhgaya; the place of Buddha's supreme enlightenment and one of the most important place in the life of Gautam Buddha.

Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 04 : Bodhgaya

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya visiting Mahabodhi Temple an UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can see the Bodhi Tree under which Buddha got enlightenment. Several Buddhist temples and monasteries are built by people of countries such as Thailand, Sri Lanka etc.. These temples reflect the architectural styles of their respective countries. Overnight at Bodhgaya hotel.

Day 05 : Bodhgaya – Patna via Rajgir and Nalanda (210 kms. / 06 hours drive)

After breakfast, drive to Patna. En-route visit to Rajgir; an ancient town, once the capital of the powerful state of Magadha. Also visit Nalanda, founded in the 3rd century BC the oldest university. At its peak it attracted students from all over the world Further continue to Patna and upon arrival, check-in to the hotel.

Day 06 : Patna – Kushinagar via Vaishali (285 kms. / 08 hours drive)

After breakfast, drive to Kushinagar. En-route visit Vaishali; a vibrant republican state established as a republic by 6th century BC, prior to birth of Gautama Buddha in 563, making it the world's 1st republic. Buddha delivered his last sermon at Vaishali & announced his Nirvana there. Further continue to Kushinagar and check-in to the hotel. Kushinagar also known as Kushavati; Lord Buddha is said to have attained 'Mahaparnirvana', the freedom from the endless cycle of birth & rebirth. Overnight at Kushinagar hotel

Day 07 : Kushinagar – Lumbini (165 kms. / 04 hours drive)

After breakfast, visit to Nirvana Stupa the reclining statue of Buddha, Nirvana Temple and Madhukar Shrine. Afternoon, drive to Lumbini (Nepal); the birth place of Gautama Buddha. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel.

Day 08 : Lumbini – Sravasri (200 kms. / 05 hours drive)

After breakfast, visit Ashoka Pillar; the first epigraphic evidence relating to the life history of Buddha. Cross the Indo Nepal border and drive to Sravasti a town where Buddha spent good part of his life. One can see age old stupas, temples and monasteries associated with him. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel.

Day 09 : Sravasti – Lucknow (180 kms. / 05 hours drive)

After breakfast, visit to Jetavana's monastery; Jetavana is said to once host Lord Buddha & his pilgrims, where one of his followers, a rich merchant, covered the whole ground of the park (Vana) with gold coins. Later we visit to Sri Lankan monastery. Afternoon, drive to Lucknow. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel. Overnight at Lucknow hotel

Day 10 : Lucknow – Delhi (By Train)

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour visiting Bara Imambara, Alambagh and Dilkusha Palace. Afternoon, board the train to Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in.

Day 11 : Delhi – Departure

Today on time transfer to Delhi airport to board the flight to onward journey.
