Start the program from Mumbai, the Gateway of India, its financial capital of India. the story of Slumdog Millionaire is based on the life of this city. The program includes two World Heritage monuments Ajanta and Ellora. These caves represent the rich cultural heritage of ancient india where both Hinduism and Buddhism flourished at the same. India is the only country where you can see such beautifully designed caves. The perfect ending to the program is to enjoy the beaches of Goa.

Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 01 : Mumbai Arrival

Upon arrival at Mumbai international airport, our company representative will meet & assist you with traditional welcome and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Overnight at Mumbai hotel.

Day 02 : Mumbai – Full day tour

Post breakfast; we take the boat cruise from Gateway of India to visit Elephanta Caves, houses rock cut temples dating back to 5th century CE. It was named by the Portuguese, after the statue of an elephant near the landing area of the island.

Return and proceed for a guided tour in Mumbai visiting Gateway of India, the entrance to the port of Mumbai. Later We also drive through the Marine Drive, which runs along the shore of the Arabian Sea from Nariman Point past Chowpatty Beach to the foot of Malabar Hill. Also visit Mani bhavan a museum dedicated to Gandhi, the father of Indian independence movement.

Day 03 : Mumbai – Aurangabad (By Flight)

Post breakfast; transfer to Mumbai airport to board the flight to Aurangabad. Upon arrival; transfer to the hotel for check-in.

Aurangabad city is a tourism hub, surrounded by many historical monuments, including the Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as Bibi Ka Maqbara and Panchakki.

Later proceed for an excursion to Ellora Caves (Closed on Tuesdays); Ellora, is one of the largest rock-cut monastery-temple cave complexes in the world, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monuments, and artwork, dating from the 600-1000 CE period. Cave 16, in particular, features the largest single monolithic rock excavation in the world, the Kailasha temple, a chariot shaped monument dedicated to Shiva. Later in the evening return back to Aurangabad and have a relaxing time in the hotel.

Day 04 : Aurangabad – Excursion to Ajanta Caves

Post breakfast; proceed for a full day excursion to Ajanta caves (Closed on Mondays); 100 km from Aurangabad in the shape of a mammoth horse- shoe, are the 30 rock-hewn caves of Ajanta. Evening; return to Aurangabad. Overnight at Aurangabad hotel.

Day 05 : Aurangabad – Goa via Mumbai (By Flight)

Post breakfast; visit to Daulatabad Fort and Aurangabad Caves. Later in the afternoon; transfer to Aurangabad airport to board the flight to Goa. Upon arrival; transfer to the hotel for check-in. Evening free at leisure.
Overnight at Goa hotel.

Day 06 : Goa – Free At leisure

After breakfast, day free at leisure for own activities and relax at beaches. Overnight at Goa hotel.

Day 07 : Goa – Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for a guided tour in Goa visiting old Goa Churches; St. Francis Xavier, Sri Mangueas Temple, Dona Paula and Miramar Beach. Overnight at Goa hotel.

Day 08 : Goa – Mumbai – Departure

Post breakfast; on time transfer to Goa airport to board the flight to Mumbai. From Mumbai, board the connecting flight to onward journey.
